The AMY RAY BAND joins Morgan Wade for select February tour dates

One of the hardest-working artists out there, Amy Ray and her band are joining country artist Morgan Wade for a series of dates across the U.S., with shows at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, The El Rey Theatre in L.A., The Fillmore in San Francisco and more. “I am a big fan of Morgan Wade so I am super excited that we got some shows with her,” Ray shares.

As half of iconic folk duo Indigo Girls, she spent most of 2024 on the road on co-headline dates with Amos Lee and Melissa Etheridge and the duo will be joining Etheridge for co-billed dates this fall. Ray is also preparing to mix a live Amy Ray Band record drawn from recordings they made while touring this past year. The album will be mixed this spring by Bobby Tis (Tedeschi Trucks Band) at the newly, beautifully renovated Swamp Raga Studios in Jacksonville, FL where Ray mixed her acclaimed solo album, If It All Goes South. It All Goes South features a stunning collection of songs dealing with her conflicted relationship with her beloved South. The album reached #10 on the Americana radio album chart and found the band making their Grand Old Opry debut.

If It All Goes South owes much of its freewheeling vitality to the potent chemistry between Ray and her longtime bandmates, including guitarist Jeff Fielder (a Seattle-based musician known for his work with artists like Mark Lanegan and Duff McKagan), keyboardist Daniel Walker (Heart, Ann Wilson, John Fullbright), pedal-steel player Matt Smith (also a member of The Honeycutters), banjo player Alison Brown, fiddle player/guitarist Adrian Carter, bassist Kerry Brooks, and drummer Jim Brock. The follow-up to 2018’s Holler (a widely acclaimed release featuring Vince Gill and Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon), the album also includes a dazzling lineup of guest musicians: Brandi Carlile, Allison Russell, The Highwomen’s Natalie Hemby, Phil Cook, and I’m With Her, to name a few. Recorded live to tape at Nashville’s Sound Emporium, the album was mainly produced by her frequent collaborator Brian Speiser.
