Squeaky Feet Announces New Studio Album Overview Effect

Colorado-based quintet Squeaky Feet have announced the release of their sophomore studio album, Overview Effect – a tightly focused, emotionally intense journey that cements the band’s place as an emerging voice in the world of progressive and psychedelic rock.

Inspired by genre giants like King Crimson and Porcupine Tree, as well as modern psych-rock aesthetics, the band uses Overview Effect to deliver a more refined and intentional musical offering. The first single, “Irish Goodbye,” showcases lyrical vulnerability against a backdrop of shifting time signatures and explosive dynamic interplay.

“This album is about facing and overcoming adversity, and pushing through problems,” says guitarist and songwriter Colin Shore. “We wanted it to hit hard – emotionally and musically. Irish Goodbye encapsulates that vision. A musical gut punch.”

Known for high-energy, improv-heavy live shows that blend fusion chops with fearless musical exploration, Squeaky Feet have cultivated a devoted following nationwide. The band will be bringing that acclaimed live show home to Denver, CO with an album release show at Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom, on the album’s release date, October 10th. The addition of Overview Effect’s tracks to live repertoire signals a creative progression – one that holds onto spontaneity but leans further into lyrical narrative, compositional precision, and sonic storytelling.

“This album is a more concise and focused musical project,” bassist Jimmy Finnegan says. “It has a defined voice – one that still leaves room for growth, but points to who we are becoming.”

Founded in 2019 by Berklee College of Music alumni, Squeaky Feet has rapidly built a devoted fanbase, thanks to their unparalleled musicianship, nationwide touring & festivals and innovative approach to live performances. The band’s lineup—Colin Shore (guitar/vocals), Greg King (guitar), Jimmy Finnegan (bass/vocals), Brian Keller (keyboards/sax/flute/vocals), and Kevin D’Angelo (drums)—showcases a collective virtuosity that sets them apart in the jam scene. Their 2023 debut studio album, Cause for Alarm, named Eclipse Magazine’s Album of the Month in 2024, is an 80-minute odyssey of progressive rock and jazz fusion. The album features bold improvisation and contributions from renowned guitarist Mark Lettieri on the lead single, “Tunnel Vision.” With Overview Effect, they sharpen their sonic edge and present their most cohesive musical statement to date.

Overview Effect will be available on all major streaming platforms October 10, 2025. First single, “Irish Goodbye” is available July 16, 2025.
