Fans of the Grateful Dead have yet another reason to rejoice as the Dark Star Orchestra team has released a soundboard recording of the first set of their October 13, 2012 performance at The Fillmore in San Francisco. The night was a special one as Grateful Dead founding bassist Phil Lesh joined the band for the entire set performing everything from “Jack Straw” to “Feel Like A Stranger” with a highlight of the ‘musical sandwich’ of “Dark Star > Playin’ In the Band > The Stranger > Eyes of the World > Morning Dew > Playin’ Reprise.”

This was the first time Lesh joined DSO on stage, joining five other Dead alumni who’ve sat in with the band: Bob Weir, Donna Jean Godchaux, Bill Kreutzmann, Vince Welnick and Tom Constanten.
