Baltimore’s psychedelic funk heroes Pigeons Playing Ping Pong have just released a new live video that’s sure to get fans talking—a high-energy cover of Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky”, featuring a full sit-in by Grammy-winning bluegrass innovators The Infamous Stringdusters. The performance, filmed during their recent Northeast run, is available to watch on YouTube now.

The collaboration finds both bands in peak form, merging Pigeons’ groove-heavy flair with the Stringdusters’ dazzling musicianship for a genre-bending take on the disco-funk classic. The encore collaboration took place on May 29 at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom in Hampton, NH. The two groups, along with supporting act Melt, just capped off a hugely successful five-date tour which brought a vibrant mix of funk, jam, bluegrass, and soul to packed venues across the Northeast. Each night featured unique collaborations, energized crowds, and one of a kind musical spontaneity, including group encores of “Get Lucky,” “You Can’t Always Get What You Want,” “Fly Like An Eagle,” “What’s Going On,” and “You Can Call Me Al.”
