Nine-time CMA Award winner Lainey Wilson took home two awards at last night’s 58th Annual CMA Awards: Female Vocalist of the Year and Music Video of the Year (“Wildflowers and Wild Horses”). Wilson also made her hosting debut alongside Peyton Manning and Luke Bryan, in addition to performing her current radio single, “4x4xU,” and “Amarillo by Morning” as part of the George Strait Lifetime Achievement tribute during the live broadcast. Her live version of “4x4xU” will be released tonight on all streaming platforms. Pre-save/pre-add HERE.
The awards cap off another triumphant year for Wilson, who is set to perform at the Dallas Cowboys’ Thanksgiving halftime show next week. She is also nominated for Best Country Album (Whirlwind) at the upcoming 67th Annual Grammy Awards. Produced by Grammy Award-winning producer Jay Joyce (Miranda Lambert, Eric Church), Whirlwind was released via BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville this past summer. The album earned Wilson her best sales week ever, debuting at #8 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart—her first top 10 entry. Stream/purchase HERE.
Critical acclaim for Whirlwind:
The album adds to Wilson’s monumental career achievements. Over the past year alone, she was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry, won Best Country Album at the 2024 Grammy Awards, took home three awards at the 59th Annual ACM Awards, and five awards at the 57th Annual CMA Awards, including Entertainer of the Year at both the ACMs and CMAs. At the ACM Honors, she received two prestigious awards: the Triple Crown Award—presented to artists who have won ACM Entertainer of the Year, Female/Male Vocalist of the Year, and New Female/Male Vocalist of the Year—and the Milestone Award, given to artists who have had an unprecedented or outstanding year in country music.
Additionally, Wilson wrote and recorded “Out of Oklahoma” for the new Twisters movie soundtrack.
Wilson recently wrapped up her wildly successful “Country’s Cool Again” tour across the U.S. She has a few more performances lined up for the year, including a set at the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas. In March, she’ll head to Europe for the C2C Festival, with performances in Zurich, Copenhagen, London, Glasgow, and more. See the full tour itinerary below.
