Indie-folk trio Oliver Hazard is set to release their much-anticipated EP, Raindrop River, on December 6th. This latest collection of six tracks is a tribute to earnest, heartfelt music, celebrating the magic of raw harmonies and the simplicity of songs that resonate deeply with listeners. Alongside the release announcement, the band unveils their newest single, “The Morning.” Pre-save Raindrop River and stream “The Morning” via the links provided.
In creating Raindrop River, frontman Mike Belazis shares, “We wanted to take what we did with our first album, how raw and live it was, and merge it with our last album, where everything was simple and clean.” Belazis notes that “The Morning” explores life’s rhythm, capturing the challenges of timing and the delicate nature of relationships. “Tomorrow could bring change,” he explains, “urging us not to assume it will mirror today.”
“The Morning” follows previously released singles “Haunted,” “Honey, I’m Hardly,” and “Wild Eyed Blue,” each capturing a unique emotional moment. “Haunted” is a poignant tribute to the absence of a loved one, while “Honey, I’m Hardly” offers a nostalgic look back, and “Wild Eyed Blue” celebrates the excitement of new possibilities.
