Huck Finn Jubilee – Music Education for Kids

<p>The <a href=”http://click.icptrack.com/icp/relay.php?r=88291889&amp;msgid=1216272&amp;act=7L7X&amp;c=381850&amp;destination=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.huckfinn.com” target=”_blank”>Huck Finn Jubilee Bluegrass&nbsp; Music Festival</a>, produced by the Greater Ontario Convention &amp; Visitors Bureau, is committed to keeping traditional Bluegrass alive by passing it on to youth.&nbsp; “This year we are proud to announce the partnership with the Folk Music Center in Claremont, California to provide the <em>Music Education for Kids</em> program during the 3-day event in June” said Michael Krouse, President and CEO.&nbsp; “We are dedicated to connecting kids with bluegrass music and look forward to the progression that two days of music lessons can make.”</p>

<p>The Huck Finn Jubilee Bluegrass Music Education for Kids is a free 2-day camp-style learning program&nbsp;held annually during Huck Finn Jubilee Bluegrass Music Festival at Cucamonga – Guasti Regional Park in Ontario, California.&nbsp; The program is open to children ages 8 – 16 offering instruction to play, sing and perform Bluegrass music. Each day&nbsp;contains&nbsp;sectional instruction with their instrumental teacher; and ensemble sessions with the entire group. The grand finale is a “Jubilee Jam” <span data-term=”goog_227401860″ tabindex=”0″>on Sunday</span> afternoon.&nbsp; Kids will have fun, learn a lot, grow in confidence and make friends that can last a lifetime.</p>

<p>The talented and experienced instructors are local and part of the music education programs at the Folk Music Center in Claremont, California.&nbsp; Over 185 years of combined experience is amazing.&nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>FIDDLE</strong>: Diane Messenger – 30 years performing and teaching (fiddle, violin, piano and voice)</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>BANJO:&nbsp; </strong>Kent Besocke – 38 years performing and 25 teaching (banjo, guitar)</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>BASS</strong>:&nbsp; Roy Durnal – 45 years performing and 15 years teaching (bass, drums, ukulele</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>GUITAR</strong>:&nbsp;Mike Kreivis – 24 years performing and 16 years teaching (guitar, dobro, slide guitar, mandolin, ukulele)</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>MANDOLIN</strong>: David Millard – 50 years performing and 30 years (mandolin, guitar and bass)</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Each class is made up of ten students each, which provides individual attention and develops comradery amongst the students.&nbsp; All students should bring their own instruments, however a few instruments are on hand to borrow and should be reserved in advance.&nbsp; Classes are scheduled on <span data-term=”goog_227401861″ tabindex=”0″>Saturday, June 11 and Sunday, June 12</span> from <span data-term=”goog_227401862″ tabindex=”0″>10:00am – 3:30pm</span> daily.&nbsp; Children 12 and under are free to attend the Huck Finn Jubilee Bluegrass Music Festival.</p>
