Gliding Home to Ninilchik: Salmonfest 2025 Poster Unveils Festival Spirit

On this Summer Solstice, Salmonfest is proud to reveal its vibrant 2025 poster, masterfully illustrated by Alaskan artist Mark Henson. The artwork—depicting a fishing boat gliding home through luminous waters, salmon leaping among the stars, and a jubilant crowd gathered on the shore—captures the very spirit of Salmonfest: a celebration of wild salmon, clean water and the shared rhythms of music and nature.

Building on Salmonfest’s mission to honor the lifeblood of Alaska’s ecosystems and cultures, this year’s gathering continues the festival’s legacy as both a musical destination and a movement for conservation. “Mark’s painting reminds us why we come together each August,” says Salmonfest co-founder Mariah O’Brien. “We stand united for wild places, for salmon, and for the magic that happens when community, art and environment converge.”

Salmonfest returns August 1st, 2nd and 3rd to Ninilchik’s picturesque waterfront. Leading a lineup of more than fifty acts are headliners The Revivalists, Elle King, The Allman Betts Band and Sierra Hull. They’ll be joined by fan favorites ALO and The Dip, plus scene-shaping talents like Bridge City Sinners, Jakobs Castle, Manic Focus, Cousin Curtiss & Harrison B, Shakedown Strings, Pō & The 4Fathers, High Step Society, Rose’s Pawn Shop, Free Creatures, Hussy Hicks and many more. Each performance is woven into a weekend of dance, workshops and communal celebration, all in support of salmon habitat protection.

One-, two- and three-day passes are on sale now via Eventbrite. Secure your spot at the riverside gathering that honors our wild salmon and the waters they call home:
