The final evening kicked off with “Buried Alive,” immediately setting the energetic tone for the night. Set one quickly built momentum with fiery renditions of “46 Days” and “Birds Of A Feather.” But it was “David Bowie” that truly stole the spotlight, weaving an intricate jam that reminded us why Phish continues to amaze after all these years. The band navigated seamlessly through newer tunes like “Sigma Oasis” and “Evolve,” proving their relentless innovation alongside classics like “The Lizards.” Wrapping up the first set with their iconic cover of “A Day in the Life,” Phish left the crowd buzzing with anticipation for what was yet to come.

Set two exploded with the ever-popular “Wilson,” sending the crowd into a familiar chant frenzy. The night’s creative highlight was undoubtedly the clever sandwich of “Fuego” into “My Friend, My Friend” and back into “Fuego,” a dynamic sequence that demonstrated Phish’s enduring jam-band prowess. Their cover of Talking Heads’ “Crosseyed and Painless” provided yet another high-energy jam, transitioning beautifully into the feel-good anthem “Everything’s Right.” Closing the second set with the emotional powerhouse “Slave To The Traffic Light,” Phish left Folsom awash in cathartic release.

Encore treats included the elusive and quirky “Buffalo Bill,” followed by an uplifting “Harry Hood,” sending fans home with broad smiles and hearts full of gratitude.

Throughout the weekend, one thing was strikingly clear: the boundless energy these guys still bring to the stage. Now all around 60 or 61, the Vermont quartet, especially Trey Anastasio, remains the embodiment of musical vigor. They’re like the Energizer bunny, endlessly rocking, shredding, and jamming without missing a beat. Personally, being six years younger, I’m already exhausted after three nights—I can’t even fathom how these guys consistently maintain such relentless energy on the road. Clearly, their deep love for performing keeps them youthful at heart and energized in spirit.

As we wrapped up this unforgettable weekend, thoughts naturally turned to the future—will Phish return to Folsom next year? We at Grateful Web certainly hope so. Sure, maybe the venue wasn’t completely filled, but there’s no doubt in our minds that consistent summer returns to Boulder would see those numbers swell. One thing’s for certain: Phish gives it their all whenever they step foot in Colorado, a place that undoubtedly elevates their already stellar performances.
