Get ready for a night of infectious grooves and soulful jams as Wreckless Strangers open for Bay Area favorites New Monsoon at HopMonk Sebastopol – The Abbey on Saturday, October 25.
Wreckless Strangers will bring their signature “Bay Area Gumbo” sound, a flavorful mix of blues, Americana, funk, soul, and classic rock. Fresh off a summer tour that featured stops across the Bay Area, Oregon, Nevada, Nashville, and Alabama—including a live performance on Nashville’s WMOT Finally Friday broadcast—the band continues to showcase their genre-blending style. The lineup includes Amber Morris (vocals), David Noble (guitar, vocals), Joshua Zucker (bass, vocals), Mick Hellman (drums, vocals), Rob Anderson (guitar, vocals), and special guest keyboardist Fletcher Nielsen.
Headliners New Monsoon have been a cornerstone of the Bay Area jam scene for over 25 years. Known for their fusion of electric and acoustic sounds, sophisticated songwriting, and irresistible grooves, the band features co-founders Bo Carper (guitar, banjo, vocals) and Jeff Miller (guitar, vocals), alongside Phil Ferlino (keyboards), Mark “Murph” Murphy (bass), and Dale Fanning (drums).
