ODE, the vinyl version of Bobby Long’s latest CD release ODE TO THINKING, will become available everywhere on March 4, following its November debut as a RSD First selection for Black Friday Record Store Day. Released by Compass Records, ODE comprises six tracks from the ODE TO THINKING CD plus three never-before-available songs. The title track from the album is the current single.

Long, who toured extensively last year in support of the CD release, hits the road again on the west coast to coincide with the vinyl release. Additionally, Long played two showcases at this year’s Folk Alliance Conference in Kansas City, MO this week. Three weeks of shows in Europe beginning April 14 will follow with additional shows in the U.S. currently being planned.

The ODE TO THINKING recording sessions were produced by veteran producer Mark Hallman at his Congress House Studios in Austin, Texas. Long, who emerged from London’s burgeoning folk music renaissance, relocated to New York in 2009, cultivating a strong fan base for his music. He has previously released two well received albums, A WINTER TALE (2011) and WISHBONE (2013) as well as a five-song EP called THE BACKING SINGER (2011) and a volume of poetry, LOSING MY BROTHERHOOD (2012). He is planning to publish a second volume of poetry later this year.
