GrassRoots Festival Unveils Full Schedule Poster, Single-Day Tickets, and Volunteer Pass Program

As summer officially kicks off with Memorial Day Weekend, GrassRoots Festival is proud to release its complete daily lineup—now available in the attached schedule poster—and to open single-day ticket sales for the 33rd annual celebration, running Thursday, July 17 through Sunday, July 20, 2025. Fans can now plan their festival experience in detail, circling can’t-miss sets across the Infield, Dance Tent, Grandstand, and Cabaret stages.

GrassRoots wouldn’t exist without the passion and dedication of its volunteer “village.” This year, more than 1,300 volunteers help bring four days of music, dance, and culture to life. In gratitude for their time, new volunteer applicants can receive a single-day or four-day festival pass in exchange for shifts before, during, or after the event—an opportunity to work alongside fellow music lovers, deepen bonds with the GrassRoots family, and witness the magic behind the scenes.

For an inside look at the people who make GrassRoots tick, tune in to the Pulse of Ithaca Podcast for an engaging conversation with GrassRoots Culture Camp Director Tara Nevins (of Donna the Buffalo). In that episode, Nevins recounts the festival’s origins, the heart of Culture Camp, and the community spirit that infuses every aspect of the event—available now at grassrootsfest.org/podcast.

Headlining this year’s festival are festival hosts Donna the Buffalo and Americana trailblazer Lukas Nelson, alongside indie-pop favorites Lucius, Grammy-nominated Afro-funk sensation Cimafunk, two-time Grammy nominee Sierra Hull, Côte d’Ivoire’s Dobet Gnahoré, Malian guitar virtuoso Vieux Farka Touré, traditional Irish music & dance troupe The Byrne Brothers, and more than eighty other acts spanning bluegrass, roots, rock, funk, and world music. See the full daily breakdown in the attached schedule poster or online at grassrootsfest.org/lineup.

Those seeking an even deeper immersion can join the 8th Annual GrassRoots Culture Camp, July 13–16, 2025—four days of workshops, communal dinners, evening dances, and intimate artist sessions, all leading up to the main festival. Culture Camp offers a rare chance to learn directly from the musicians featured on the festival stages.

GrassRoots Festival extends heartfelt thanks to its community of artists, sponsors, volunteers, and fans who have supported the event for thirty-three years. Single-day and four-day tickets, as well as volunteer applications, are available now at https://www.grassrootsfest.org/tickets. See the attached poster for the full schedule, and get ready to join us in Ithaca this July!
